We are three photographers who have traveled extensively throughout the world.  Each of us is recognized widely in the photographic community for the quality of our photographic skills.  In addition, we each bring a wealth of experience from our occupations and professions.  Our interest is to provide information of value to others who want the perfect photographic adventure.

Melanie is a medical doctor and resides in a prime location in the United Kingdom between the English Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Her second home is Scotland and she spends most of her free time travelling and photographing this magnificent land. Her first love is landscapes, born from her days of wandering the hills and from some of the scenes witnessed in the dramatic weather during her days as a medic with her local Mountain Rescue Team. In addition to her familiarity with travel and accommodation in Scotland she brings her experience of three years spent in the Caribbean and travel to Africa, the United States and Europe. As well as her love for the landscape and nature she brings with her a wide-ranging knowledge from her days in the Emergency Room, Acute Medicine and is able to share with you some of those aspects of safety that have worked for both herself and others. Claire is a special needs teacher running a centre for children with communication difficulties. She enjoys many genres of photography but when the light is good she opts to head for the hills and coast. Living in rural Shropshire, England,  enabled her to hone her landscape skills and she grabs any opportunity to get out and about. Visiting her website www.carterart.co.uk will give a flavour of some of the places she has travelled to in the pursuit of good light.  She has had numerous photographs published in a wide range of formats. Her work has been highly commended and commended in the landscape section of the Digital Camera Photographer of Year Competition and has had three pictures published in the Take-a-View Landscape Photographer of the Year  book, one of which was featured on the front cover.   An avid outdoorswoman, she frequently finds light in remote locations throughout the world.


Bill is a retired Courts Administrator of one of the largest trial courts in the United States. He is also a retired Lieutenant Colonel, US Army National Guard. He is known internationally for his photographic work. He travels extensively throughout the world, his most recent trips include journeys to South Africa, Tanzania, Alaska, Scotland, the Farne Islands, Poland, the American North West, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, and Orkney.  An avid outdoorsman, Bill owns properties in Florida where he raises timber and works to preserve habitats for animals.  From the jungles of Panama and Honduras, to the islands of the Galapagos, from frozen tundra in Alaska,  to the intense heat of tropical Africa, Bill has experienced it all. He has traveled by international jet, float plane, foot, boat, four wheel drive, and underwater using SCUBA, venturing to remote regions of the world seeking good light.
