The Fuji X100 is a magnificent piece of equipment even though the autofocus and file write time suck. Why? Because of the image quality baby! And the super stealth operation. Turn of all the electronic camera sounds, and this tiny machine makes you a ninja photographer instantly. People will really wonder if you took a picture or not.

Small, light, silent and with excellent image quality. Yes, there's some grain at ISO800 and ISO1600, but it has a very pleasant and fine structure. Images have a great classic film look, especially in black and white. This camera will allow you work in dim light and still keep a reasonable shutter speed.

I tried to find an alternative (quality and size/weight), but it's just doesn't exist. Forget micro 4/3, because those small sensors just don't cut it. None of them, not even the latest and greatest Olympus and Panasonic models, give good low noise image quality above ISO200. Just don't go that route, you'll be disappointed. And all DSLR's are bigger and noisier.

Okay, now something about the looks of the X100. It's super sexy groovy functional retro! Everybody loves to touch it, feel it, use it and keep it. It's so nice, you can put it on a column in your living-room as a piece of art. If you can live with just one (35mm equivalent) lens, like the looks and need something that delivers stunning image quality, go get the X100! Prices are dropping and you can already find them for a good price on the secondhand market.

Hello, i have bought this lens on saturday. I have 15 days trial during wich i can give the lens back and recieve my money back.

The big issue here is that i do not know if i should instead buy yhe 70 200 L is usm f4 due to the weight ( 2/3 of the weight of 70 300 L is usm f 4-5,6) and the size ( although is a little shorter, the diameter is a lot bigger).

The quality at 300 during day light surprised me a lot.
