The Travel Vest
by Bill
Let's face it, anything that can make travel easier, safer, or more convenient is something we should have. One of the realities of air travel today is going through security and dealing with all the stuff we have to have with us: airline tickets, passport, wallet, itinerary, watch, paper tissues, eyeglasses, change, and an iPod to drown out the guy next to you on the plane who is snoring, most likely me.
And, when you get to where you are going, well, all that stuff needs to be with you. This is why I always wear a travel vest on my journeys. It helps with photo gear too. Having a small lens cloth or a filter handy or an external liight meter, means you gotta have somewhere to put it. A vest is perfect for all of these things.
I recommend having a travel vest for safety. Especially the ones that have inside zippered pockets where you can keep your passport and wallet. I do not recommend that women especially, carry a handbag, it is too easy to grab on the street, and for men, well, we don't normally carry hand bags and we never seem to have enough pockets for all our stuff.
I bought mine on sale for less than $30 at a local clothing store, but you can find dozens of them on the Internet. This one is reasonably priced.
Of all my travel items, the one that I ALWAYS use is a travel vest. Find one you like. Buy it. It is the perfect travel item.
