Photo Contest

Photo Travel Review announces the Travel Photo of the Year Contest.

Our editors will select one photograph each month as Travel Photo of the Month, then select the best of 12 as Travel Photo of the Year. Selections will also be made from those photographers who have submitted Guest Articles, or from those photographs we have selected for our Featured Photos page.

When submitting a photograph for our consideration, please tell us your story as well. What motivated you to go to the place the photograph was taken? What hardships did you go through? What excited you about the place or the subject? What are your recommendations to others who might want to visit the same place?

The contest is sponsored by our friends at Essential Photo Gear, Slide Scanning Pros, and Red River Paper.

Essential Photo Gear will award a cammo blind for the annual winner.

Slide Scanning Pros will offer a $200 credit for its services to each monthly winner.

Red River Paper will offer a $100 gift certificate for its papers to each monthly winner.

To submit a photo for consideration:

1. Submit a JPEG file, in sRGB format.
2. Limit file size to 200KB.
3. Limit the size of the image to 700 pixels on the longest side.
4. State that you are the author of the photograph and that you own exclusive © copyright to the photograph.
5. State that you give Photo Travel Review permission to publish the photograph.
6. Provide us a link to your website if you have one.
7. Give your photograph a title. Describe your photograph, where it was taken, what camera was used, why you think the photograph was special, or anything else you want to add.
8. Photographs that display nudity, or which the editors believe are defaming, will not be considered.

To enter click here and attach your photograph to an email message. Please submit only one photograph each month. Selections for a particular month may be made from previous month’s entries.

If selected your photograph will be displayed prominently at Photo Travel Review and will be kept in our archives on a special page.
