Canon Powershot G10 Review

By Bill Lockhart

From October 24 until November 9, 2008, I traveled to Slovenia and Scotland for a long photographic holiday.  During my travels I worked with colleagues whom I have met through the Internet and who share my love of light. During my holiday, attending the first PTR Seminar, I had with me the Canon Powershot G10.  And, I had high hopes for the camera having taken some shots with it prior to departure.

By Bill

Silver Salmon Creek Lodge is located in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska.  For a photographer, it is a place to photograph Brown Bears while on foot without the protection of weapons, vehicles, or hides.  One might say it is the ultimate adventure for a wildlife photographer.

Hama Camera Spirit Level

We've all done it under pressure, carefully composed a shot and then had to use the levelling tool to straighten the horizon and the crop clips off an element you really wanted to keep.

I've discovered a little gadget that really helps keep you level.

Keeping On The Right Track

There is not a walk I take in the Lakes  (English Lake District) without my older version of these maps. I have one for each of the four areas of the Lakes and also one of the Howgills.
